Project Brief

MOI Global required editorial support to create the Facebook Cross-Border Business Playbook as well as the Facebook SYNC Whitepaper.

The project first started as a contingency due to a lack of manpower to carry the Cross-Border Business Playbooks. From editing one set of four playbooks, I ended up adapting the original design to 4 country playbooks. Part of the project included proposing stock images that were relatable for the countries.

This project carried on to the Facebook SYNC Southeast Asia where I populated and conceptualised various ways to emphasize the statistics provided. Apart from that, it was also necessary to provide visual options to a text-heavy whitepaper to maintain reader interest.

What exactly did I do?

The main issues with the Cross-Border Business was that 3 different designers were doing 9 different playbooks and there was no standardisation. I worked with the the Account Executives of MOI Global to populate and standardise different aspects of the playbook.

The project first started as a contingency due to a lack of manpower to carry the Cross-Border Business Playbooks. From editing one set of four playbooks, I ended up adapting the original design to 4 country playbooks. That means I had to populate 16 playbooks in 2 weeks. Part of the project included proposing stock images that were relatable for the countries.

However, the main problem was also not understanding the cultural nuances of different countries and the facial/racial make-up for relatability. There were several back and forth until we found the appropriate images to fit the country

In a way, the project wrapped up successfully and was launched on the Facebook Business page (now Meta).
